NK50 - Galleri FORMAT"Format celebrates The Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts' 50th anniversary with a group exhibition in the gallery's exhibition space and sales area. The anniversary exhibition is a collaboration between the gallery and NK Oslo, and aims to present The Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts' long history with craft artists associated with the Oslo area.
The 14 NK Oslo members selected showcase the variations within the field in terms of age, expression, materials, and techniques. The exhibition will familiarize the public with the craft field in Oslo and the diversity it possesses. Crafts are an important part of Oslo's culture, where both quality and development are expressed through the work of NK Oslo's 343 members." The Norwegian Arts and Crafts' Annual Exhibition takes the pulse of new material-based art, and is one of the most important juried displays of contemporary crafts in Norway. Pilchuck, summer 2023Thanks to the Pilchuck Auction Scholarship I was awarded in September 2022, I had the chance to participate in the workshop hold by the amazing Kait Rhoads and Rachel Moore!
It's been a great couple of weeks with the best classmates. We played a lot with inspiration from nature, various techniques and pulled quite a few murinis. Through my experiments I developed a whole new way to create sculptural works. I hope to produce a new body of works using this technique during 2024. So stay tuned ;) |

Connected by Glass! 2021-22-23Connected by Glass! is a collaborative project with the Glass Museum of Zelezný Brod. The project will last for 3 years and give great opportunities for cultural exchanges between norwegian glass artists and the czech glass community. We will have artist residencies, exhibitions at the museum and invitations to the annual glass conference of Zelezný Brod each September.
